Deborah J. Hughes, Executive Director
Deborah is a lawyer admitted to practice in Michigan and Iowa. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Iowa College of Law. Deborah came to West Michigan after many years of private practice in Iowa. She started at the LAC as a volunteer and board member. She has been Executive Director since 2012.
Noah Joseph, Program Manager
Noah is a lawyer admitted to practice in Michigan. He is a graduate of Miami University, Grand Valley State University and the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Noah worked as a legal intern with Legal Aid of Western Michigan and then spent four years practicing law in Manistee, Michigan. After serving with the Peace Corps and working in law school admissions for Indiana University, Noah returned to Michigan in 2016 and worked at the Western Michigan Cooley Law School before joining the LAC.
Jen VanTimmeren, Program Administrator
Jen is a paralegal. She has a BS from Davenport University. Jen started at the LAC as a volunteer in 2014 and joined the staff in 2016.
Heather Salas, Program Coordinator
Heather is a paralegal. She has a BS from Davenport University. Heather started at the LAC as a volunteer in 2015 and joined the staff in 2016.
Chad Antuma, Program Assistant
Chad is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and is on the path to a law degree and legal career. He came to the LAC in 2015 with experience at the Ottawa County Legal Self Help Center.
